6. The Arc FDL is hosting a Legislative Breakfast on September 25, 8-10 am at the Radisson Hotel, FDL. Candidates for State Assembly and Congressional Representatives for District 6 will be present. 7. World Day of Migrants and Refugees is Sunday, September 27. Communities are encouraged to participate in the BIG READ of the book Solito. Learn more at https://www.casaromerocenter.org/ For those interested in reading this book, we can dedicate 30 minutes at the end of our September 28 meeting to discuss this.
8. Next People for People meeting is Monday, September 28, 5:30 pm in Founders Hall, CSA Motherhouse (a change from Friday mornings).
9. ICE Verification Training with Luis Velasquez from Voces de la Frontera is Friday, October 2, 4- 6 pm in Founders Hall, CSA Motherhouse.
ACTION Needed:
Continue to write and call your members of Congress and ask them to pass the American Dream and Promise Act (H.R. 1589) to provide and protect Dreamers and those here relying on temporary protected status (TPS). You may use this online from the USCCB and/or this one from CISPES.
